Day 2 of the Dubai Fashion Forward Season 4 was all about burqa. Meet Abeer, half-Emirati, half-Canadian. The founder of @burqaabori. Her concept is that the traditional burqa can be worn as a fashion statement. Her slogan is "burqa for fashion, not for oppression".
I would personally love to know more about the history of burqa but when I tried it on and it felt empowering.
