DUBAI WORLD CUP 2014/JENNIFER LOPEZ DUBAI

The world's richest race of the Dubai World Cup 2014 has come to an end on Saturday 29 March with the horse named African Story winning the final 10,000,000 USD race.  Jennifer Lopez headlined the after-race concert.

Fashion at the races was very bold this year with lots of single colors prevailing the styles.

WILD STYLES

There are always a lot of attempts to wear hats for the purposes of grabbing tabloids' attention at the Dubai World Cup.   The yellow press surely picks up on such styles because it wants to grab the attention of its' readers.  This year was no different, with elegance certainly not being the goal of these outfits.  Kudos for the entertainment factor though!

Appreciate the sense of humor!

SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL STYLES

Beautifully dressed people at the Bubble Lounge

The first five races were followed by a spectacular display of fireworks at Meydan.

Crowds of people were in attendance this year making it the most spectacular sporting event so far.

Jennifer Lopez rocked the stage at the after-race concert in Dubai!

And last but not least this is dedicated to all the Marie Antoinettes of the Dubai World Cup.  Your know who you are ;).

Each year there is a Marker section of the Art Dubai which is dedicated to a specific region.  This year it was dedicated to Central Asia and included Kazakhstan (Almaty), Uzbekistan (Tashkent), Northern Caucasus region of Russia (Vladikavkaz), Azerbaijan (Baku) and Georgia (Tbilisi).  The curator for this section Payam Sharifi is also a member of an art collective "Slavs and Tatars".

I have also included my personal favorites:

"No love lost" by Hossein Valamanesh in bronze, 2013, displayed by GAGPROJECTS gallery based in Adelaide/Berlin.  Some people on Instagram thought it says "no love last", which they thought were a very true statement.  Quite a possibility I guess!
